Turkey Wins Inaugural FIA GT Nations Cup

Representing Turkey in the inaugural FIA GT Nations Cup, Salih Yoluç and Ayhancan Güven achieved a historic success by winning the one-hour final race from pole position.
Yoluç and Güven set out their title credentials among 18 nations by topping practice on Friday 30 November. They then finished second in the first one-hour qualifying race and won the second one-hour qualifying race on Saturday 1 December, earning pole position for the final.
Salih Yoluç, who started the one-hour final from pole position, pitted in third and handed the car over to Ayhancan Güven. Ayhancan Güven first passed the second-placed Russian team, then set the fastest lap of the race on the way to overtaking leaders Great Britain to take the lead. Our 20-year-old national driver Ayhancan held that position through the closing laps, taking the chequered flag in first place and securing Turkey's first FIA GT Nations Cup victory…
We congratulate Salih Yoluç and Ayhancan Güven on this great achievement in the history of Turkish motorsport, and ask you to help it reach a wide audience by sharing it on your social media accounts…
