Fatih Kara on the Podium at Vallelunga

Round six of the 'Trofeo Abarth Challenge', in which FIAT Motorsports Turkey drivers Fatih Kara, Yiğit Timur and Sarp Kuzey Eroldu are representing Turkey this season, was held on 10-11 September. At the Autodromo Vallelunga Pietro Taruffi circuit in Rome, Italy, the venue for the hard-fought battle between identical Fiat 500 Abarth cars, Fatih Kara finished the second race in third place to take a podium finish in the final race of the trophy.
In round four, run over two separate races across the weekend, Fatih Kara finished the first race in fourth place, while Yiğit Timur and Kuzey Eroldu, who started the race from second place, fell out of the fight for victory after contact with their rivals. In the second race, Kara took the chequered flag in third place, while Timur and Eroldu, again after contact, went off the road and finished the race away from the podium.
Alongside his rally successes in recent years, Fatih Kara, who has also represented Turkey in the World Rallycross Championship RX Lites category, secured one of the most important international results of his career by taking a podium in the sixth race of the Trofeo Abarth Challenge.
