Emir Aşarı Unlucky This Time

Emir Aşarı, the 28-year-old young circuit racing driver, finished the 7th race of this season's RCN (Rundstrecken Challenge Nürburgring) series in sixth place.

Competing in round 7 of the series at Germany's Nürburgring circuit on 16 September with Dorock XL sponsorship, Aşarı lost time in the pits after suffering an accelerator pedal problem in the first part of the race, in which the BMW 325i was up against 12 rivals.In race 2, Aşarı set record times despite temperatures below 10 degrees, but suffered health problems on the final lap after being exposed to exhaust fumes from the oil-burning engine of the car ahead. Although finishing the race in 2nd place, Aşarı was dropped to 6th as a penalty for completing the exit lap outside the permitted speed limit and time.

For the 2018 season, Emir Aşarı is aiming to follow the VNL (Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring) series, Germany's best-known endurance series, which consists of 9 races.
