Turkish National Anthem Played in Belgium

Our national drivers Ayhancan Güven, supported by TOSFED and Spor Toto, and fellow young national driver Berkay Besler competed at Zolder on 15-16 September in the fifth round of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux.
Güven secured pole position for both races in Saturday's qualifying and, with a lap of 1:31.853, also set a new track record.
In the first race of the weekend, Ayhancan Güven took the chequered flag in first place, while Berkay Besler finished sixth. Starting the second race from pole, Güven held that position throughout to win once again. The series' other Turkish driver, Berkay Besler, crossed the finish line in third to reach the podium.

Speaking after the race, Ayhancan said: "At Zolder we set the fastest lap in both races and won both. Together with the many Turkish supporters who came to the circuit, we sang our national anthem twice. I never had the chance to win an international race in Turkey, but today in Belgium I felt that emotion. I thank everyone who came to support us. With two races to go, we lead the championship by 35 points."
Berkay also commented after the race: "Today I saw once again that I must never give up. We finished today's second race in third place. I am very proud of this result, for myself and for my team. I cannot thank everyone in the team enough for all their hard work. I congratulate Ayhancan Güven and Xavier Maassen, who both stood on the podium twice this weekend."
