Ayhancan Makes Rapid Start in Supercup

After winning the Porsche Carrera Cup France and GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux championship titles in 2018, 21-year-old national driver Ayhancan Güven is ready for the next step in his career... Having caught the eye of a number of teams and officials with his impressive performances over the last two seasons, Güven will this year compete in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and the Porsche Carrera Cup France in a Porsche 911 GT3 carrying Türkiye logos, with the backing of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye, Spor Toto and TOSFED.
Together with Salih Yoluç, the young driver achieved a landmark result in the history of Turkish motorsport by winning the inaugural FIA GT Nations Cup in 2018. On 16 April he took to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the official pre-season Supercup test. At his first meeting with his new team, his new car and the rivals he will race against this season, he topped the timesheets in the first test session, beating all of his competitors. Run as a support series to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship races since 1992, the Supercup stands out as the most competitive one-make series in the world.
Our national pride Ayhancan Güven will take his first start of the 2019 season at the opening round of the French series, to be held at Nogaro in south-west France on 21-22 April. Güven will then take to the Barcelona circuit for his first Supercup race on 10-12 May.
