Egea Youth Cup Makes Fast Start to Season

The second season of the Egea Youth Cup, organised by Fiat, got under way as part of the 29th Obel Cıvata Aegean Rally, with Buğra Can Kılıç-Ali Emre Yılmaz taking victory in the first event of the cup. Onat Telkenar-Efe Eryalaz finished second, while Mehmet Can Dinç-Tunahan Aktaş completed the rally in third.
Fiat Motorsport Team's official drivers Fatih Kara-Bilge Ayan took wins in the 2WD classification and in Class 3, finishing fifth overall. In the young drivers' classification, Ali Türkkan, contesting a first rally in the Fiat Egea, stood out with a class win, while the Buğra Can Kılıç - Ali Emre Yılmaz crew also made an impression by finishing third.
Noting that they entered the Aegean Rally with eight cars, Fiat Motorsport Team Director Koray Kafkas said: "We completed the first race of the season the way we had aimed to. We are delighted to be creating opportunities for young drivers and leading the way in the development of our sport. We will continue to bring talented young people into motorsport. I believe our young drivers, many of whom were competing in the Aegean Rally for the first time, will achieve important results under the Fiat brand in the future. I would like to thank my team-mates and our supporters in particular for the successful preparation period and their dedicated performances in the rally."
The Egea Youth Cup, supported by Falken high-performance tyres, will continue its season with the ESOK Rally in Eskişehir on 15-16 June, a round of the 2019 FIA European Rally Cup.
