Ayhancan Takes First Daytona Podium

In the Daytona 24 Hours, the opening round of the IMSA SportsCar Championship, Turkish driver Ayhancan Güven was part of the Wright Motorsport line-up that finished second in the GTD class to take a podium.

Sharing the car with Adam Adelson, Elliott Skeer and Tom Sargent, our representative took over behind the wheel for the closing stint of the battle at the famous Daytona circuit.

The Red Bull driver dropped back to ninth after an additional pit stop in the final hour, but fought back with a series of attacks to take the chequered flag in second place, just 1.4 seconds behind the leader.

Our other representative in the Daytona 24 Hours, Salih Yoluç, was unable to finish the race after the car caught fire while team-mate Charlie Eastwood was at the wheel.
