Having completed the 2024 season as Turkish Rally 2WD Champion and Class 4 winner, Refik Bozkurt reviewed the season for turkmotorspor.com readers and shared his 2025 goals.
Sarıkamış Rally
Because of the problems we had during the recce, half of the rally was unfortunately wasted. On Sunday we found the pace we wanted and won the power stage, and overall we enjoyed a fun snow rally.
Favourite Stage: SS 10-13 VST Tour
Marmaris Rally
I think this rally was the most special and emotional of my career. I had a serious crash in testing, and after a huge amount of work we only just managed to get the car ready at the last second. We fought it out by seconds right up to the final stage, and taking the lead brought unforgettable joy. Thanks once again to Atış Motorsport.
Favourite Stage: SS 10 Akyaka
Rally Bodrum
It was a fun, fast and high-tempo rally with stages of very different characters. When we took the lead here too, our belief in the championship grew considerably.

Atış Yapı Yeşil Bursa Rally
I was on my feet with a 40-degree fever and on drips, at times hallucinating and collapsing at the end of stages. After setting a 2WD record on my favourite stage on Sunday, I think I got carried away, and it ended up an unpleasant rally as we went off the road 300 metres from the end of the next stage. J
Favourite Stage: SS 6-8 Downtown
Eskişehir Rally
On Saturday we built a safe gap with a fast, balanced pace on a rally with some demanding stages. On the final day we aimed to hold the gap without taking risks and left with the win. With this result we moved one step closer to the title. In terms of organisation, I can say with confidence that ESOK's was the best rally.
Favourite Stage: SS 3-6 Remed Assistance
Kocaeli Rally
When I saw our rival change a tyre within the first stage, I understood the title was coming. From that moment I was just trying to bring the car to the finish, and I struggled a lot with it, so it was a joyless rally. Having lost the title in Kocaeli last year through a mistake while leading by a clear margin, I was very tense about not repeating the same scenario; but in the end it was the rally where I won the championship.
Favourite Stage: SS 6-8 Remed Assistance
2025 Plans
Although nothing is certain at the moment, I am considering either competing in Türkiye with a 4WD car, or in a competitive championship abroad in 2WD.
