Ayhancan Impresses at Zandvoort

Ayhancan Güven, the Turkish national driver supported by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) and Spor Toto, lined up as a guest driver in round five of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, held at the Zandvoort circuit in the Netherlands on 18-19 August.
Güven set the fourth-fastest time in Saturday's qualifying and started both races from fourth place. In the first race, held the same day, a crash that caused heavy damage brought out the red flag on lap nine, and the driver finished the opening race in fifth place.
In the opening laps of Sunday's second race, contact with a rival sent Ayhancan's car into a spin and dropped the driver back to sixteenth, and Ayhancan went on to complete the first Carrera Cup Germany race weekend in thirteenth place.

The national driver's next race will be round four of the Porsche Carrera Cup France, taking place at the Magny-Cours circuit on 8-9 September...
