V1 Challenge Round 3 once again delivered a fierce battle, as expected. The use of the full-length circuit for the first time over the two-race weekend added even more excitement at Ülkü Park. The intense fight between the V1 drivers, which gave the spectators filling the grandstands a spectacle to savour, earned top marks from everyone.

After warming up in the practice sessions, the drivers battled hard in qualifying to gain an advantage and set the fastest time. At the end of qualifying, young driver Ayhancan Güven, racing with the support of Çaykur Rizespor and NR1 TV, set the fastest time to take pole position, while ISS driver Burak Çukurova, leader of the cup standings, qualified second and Bambi Mobilya driver Adem Çetmen earned a place on the third row of the grid.

Chaos erupted at the start of the first race. Burak Çukurova made a strong getaway, shot ahead and took the lead. However, at the end of the first lap Ayhancan Güven made an incredible move to take the lead. Maintaining the pace over the remaining laps and delivering a clean race, the young driver was the first across the line to take the chequered flag. In the first race, Burak Çukurova finished second behind Ayhancan Güven, with Adem Çetmen third.

Under the format, the top 12 finishers in the first race start the second race in reverse order, and it was a real storm of excitement. Cem Yudulmaz, racing for Kırçiçeği, started the race from pole position. Ayhancan Güven, who stood out with his pace in the following laps and swept around the circuit like a storm, moved into the lead after starting from 12th place. Holding that lead to the end of the race and crossing the line to take the chequered flag by a clear margin, 18-year-old national driver Güven closed out the weekend with a double victory. In the second race, Burak Çukurova, who started from eleventh, finished second, while Adem Çetmen, who started from tenth, came home third.

Organised by Ülkü Motorları Kulübü and broadcast on TRT Spor, V1 Challenge will stage a completely different kind of excitement on the streets of Aydın on 30 October.
