Ayhancan Heads to France in Search of Victory

The final races of the season in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux and Porsche Carrera Cup France series will be held at the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet, France, on 13-14 October.
TOSFED and Spor Toto-backed Turkish National Team driver Ayhancan Güven and Berkay Besler, who races for Toksport WRT, will represent Turkey in this joint finale for the two series. The races, which will be run alongside the French GT4 Championship finale, begin with the first race on Saturday 13 October at 16:30, while the second race will get under way on Sunday 14 October at 16:30.
Racing a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup with technical support from Attempto Racing, 20-year-old national driver Ayhancan Güven said ahead of the races: “I lead the Benelux series by 35 points with two races to go. Scoring just 10 points will be enough for me to clinch the championship title. In the French series I am third. I am 29 points behind the leader and 7 points behind second place. Our leading rival cannot take part because he will be racing in the World Championship in Japan on the same date, and that could be a big advantage for us. We want to win the races in both series and end the season with the championship title.”
Nineteen-year-old national driver Berkay Besler said he aims to leave France with a strong result in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Benelux series, which he began following this season: “We will be at Paul Ricard, where I will be racing for the first time, for the final round of the Benelux series that we have been following this season alongside Porsche Sports Cup Germany. I will be fighting experienced rivals with the experience I have gained throughout the season. Our target is to improve on the podium finish we achieved in the previous race. We will do our very best.”
