Rally Turkey Named 11th Round of 2019 Calendar

Serkan Yazıcı, President of the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) and a member of the World Motor Sport Council, was in Paris on 11 October together with Eren Üçlertoprağı, TOSFED Vice-President and substitute member of the Council. At the third meeting of the World Motor Sport Council, hosted by FIA President Jean Todt, the 2019 calendars and rule changes for the various disciplines were discussed and decided.
At the meeting it was decided that Chile will be added to the 2019 World Rally Championship and that the calendar will consist of 14 rounds, with Rally Turkey set to take place from 12-15 September as the 11th round of the 2019 calendar.
Rally Turkey, organised in Marmaris in September after an eight-year gap, was widely praised by the authorities in particular, as well as by the competing teams and drivers, the Turkish and international media following the event, and the spectators.
