Galip Atar Takes Third Place in Germany

Ülkü Motorsport driver Galip Atar finished third in the Porsche Sports Cup races held at Germany's Oschersleben circuit. Team captain Ümit Ülkü, meanwhile, pitted on lap 5 of the sprint race practice with a mechanical failure on the car. Unable to take part in the qualifying sessions, Ülkü missed the GT3 Super Sport Cup races.

Galip Atar, who competes in Turkey and Europe, took third place in the 19-lap sprint race, which featured 10 drivers, after a strong fight. The Izmir-based drivers finished sixth in the first race and ninth in the second in the Endurance Race, in the group of 21 cars, in the section with 11 cars and 22 drivers. Despite the setbacks, the Ülkü Motorsport team drivers managed to return home with a third-place trophy.

The next round of the Porsche Sports Cup will take place on 12-13 September at the SPA circuit in Francorchamps, Belgium. The Ülkü Motorsport team's next European event will be the European Touring Car Cup, to be held on 5-6 September at the Brno circuit in Brno, Czech Republic.
