Akın Receives International Award from FIA

The 'Marshal of the Year' award, chosen each year from marshals worldwide by the FIA Volunteers and Officials Commission, is coming to our country once again... Nurhan Akın, nominated by TOSFED in recognition of hard work, discipline and active duties at numerous events, has been named the winner of this award by the FIA.
The 26-year-old Akın, who has continued marshalling in Ankara since 2011 because of university studies, has served at national and international events across many different disciplines. For the past two years, Akın has worked at the highest level in every discipline except karting, most notably the Turkish Off-road Championship, and in 2011-2012 was named best marshal within the Ankara Marshals' Board (AGK) among D and C-grade marshals.

TOSFED President Serkan Yazıcı commented on the news: "The 'FIA Best Marshal of the Season' award, earned through the success of Nurhan Akın, one of the marshals of our Ankara Provincial Marshals' Board, has honoured first and foremost myself, my Board of Directors, all my colleagues and our marshal friends, who are the most valued members of our family. I congratulate our young colleague on this achievement with all my heart, and I hope the path opened here will serve as an example to our other colleagues."
