Yücesan and Aşarı Miss Out on Victory at the Nürburgring

Turkish Circuit Racing Championship Super Group driver Ersin Yücesan, who is preparing to contest the nine-race VLN (Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring) series in 2019, was in Germany on 4 August with Emir Aşırı for the RCN (Rundstrecken Challenge Nürburgring) race, which he must enter in order to be eligible for the series...
Taking to the track in a BMW 325i prepared by Sorg Rennsport and competing in V4, the most closely fought class in the series, the pair impressed with their performance. Both Yücesan and Aşırı set fastest laps, and the crew led the race until the final lap, but were unable to avoid disqualification after exceeding the permitted speed limit on the final lap, known as the "cool-down lap", which must be driven at a reduced pace.
