Yazıcı Joins FIA World Motor Sport Council

The general assembly of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) was held in Paris on 8 December. Jean Todt, who has served as FIA President since 2009, was re-elected to the post once again, while Serkan Yazıcı, President of the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED), took up his place as one of the 14 members of the World Motor Sport Council.
Describing the membership as an important development for Turkey, which is preparing to host the World Rally Championship in Marmaris next year, Yazıcı said it was a great source of pride to represent the country on the council, where decisions on motorsport are approved.
