V1 Challenge 2016 Starts in Izmir

V1 Challenge comes to Izmir in the 2016 season, with the excitement picking up where it left off at the season opener on 21 August. Offering the chance to race at affordable cost to the wide audience that no longer wants to simply watch, V1 Challenge has moved its base of operations to Izmir.

The cup, successfully organised for five years, gains a whole new energy under the management of Ümit Ülkü and his team at the İzmir Ülkü Motorsporları Kulübü. Popular with the brands sponsoring the event thanks to its competitive spirit, spectator appeal and rewarding structure, V1 will this season be broadcast on TRT and reach millions of viewers.

In 2016, V1 will cover a total of six weekends and be run over 12 races. Each weekend, on either a Saturday or a Sunday, the single-day events will feature practice, qualifying and two races. Points and prize money will be awarded separately for each race.
