Turkish drivers Ümit Ülkü and Galip Atar put in strong performances in Round 3 of the Ferrari Challenge Europe at the Budapest circuit in Hungary. Ülkü was the first driver to take the chequered flag in both races in the 458 Challenge EVO class, while Atar finished third in both races despite suffering mechanical problems, picking up valuable points in the trophy standings.
UmitUlku_FerrrariAtar led the first race, held on Saturday, from start to finish, but lost time on the final lap with a gearbox failure and finished third in the class. Atar set the fastest time in qualifying and earned the right to start from the front, but a mechanical failure forced a car change, and under the regulations the start had to be made from the back of the grid. With no opportunity to make the desired set-up changes on the new car, Atar started from the rear and completed the race third in the class. Both drivers delivered strong results and flew the Turkish flag on the podium, bringing double joy over the holiday.
