The first round of the 2017 Turkish Trial Championship is being organised by the Karabük Off-road Club (KARDOFF) on 22-23 April. At a press conference about the event, KARDOFF officials said they expect strong interest in the competition, which will be held for the first time at Akgöl in the Çangal Mountain area, in Sinop's Ayancık district.

Speaking at the press conference, club president Ahmet Demir said: "Competitors will come to our event from every corner of Turkey. It will be a contest with great spectator appeal. As the Karabük Off-road Club, we will be staging two enjoyable Turkish Championship events this year. We are organising the first of them in Ayancık, a lovely district of Sinop, and we believe this year's first trial event will be a fine occasion in the natural surroundings of Ayancık."
