Trial Excitement Hits Kemerburgaz

In trial, teams of two vehicles and four competitors start at the same time and help each other through demanding terrain. The first event of the season brought together nine teams, 18 vehicles and 36 competitors. Organised by the Istanbul Offroad Club (İSOFF) on the Kemerburgaz Çiftealan course, the endurance event saw the crews fight to get past obstacles too tough for a single vehicle, using the best possible strategies to do so in the shortest time.

After two days of tough competition, Aydoff Trial Team took the win with a total time of 6 hours 49 minutes 56 seconds. The team was made up of Seda Özkutlu-Şayhaydar Argaç, driving a Detoro, and Soner Özkutlu-Mehmet Emir, driving a Jeep Cherokee. Team Mobil1, comprising the Suzuki Vitara crews of Ertan Uçar-Mehmet Berat Atagün and Şencan Özkurt-Fuat Sarper, finished second with a total time of 7 hours 30 minutes. Third place went to Texxoff, made up of Emirhan Kutlu-Ali Çapan in a Jeep Cherokee and Uğur Demirci-Muhammed Zor in a Jeep CJ8, with a total time of 7 hours 48 minutes 17 seconds.

The second round of the 2016 Turkish Trial Championship will be organised by the Bursa Alternative Sports Club (BASK) in the Çan district of Çanakkale on 23-24 April.
