Transanatolia Heads for Niğde

On the third day of Transanatolia Rally Raid, one of the toughest events in the world, competitors completed the İlvat, Taşkent and Göksu stages and arrived in Konya Karaman. Starting day four from Konya, they will this time head via the Aladağ mountains to Niğde Aladağ.
In the event, which features motorcycles, ATVs, SSVs and cars prepared in line with technical and safety requirements, the rally-motorcycle category order is 1. Francesco Catanese, 2. Ümit Salkım, 3. Francesco Tarricone. In the Quad category, Ömer Muharrem Göksel leads; in the SSV category, 1. Tsanko Tsankov, 2. Necati Şahin; in the Car category, 1. Mert Becce/Hakan İşen, 2. Hüseyin Afşar/Osman Metin, 3. Hüseyin Kurt/Özaydın Dölek; and in the Truck category, Mario Mutti/Andrea Mazzoleni continue to lead.
Among the drivers competing in the car category of the Raid category, 1. Haluk Kutay/Ali Kutay, 2. Göktuğ Güzelbey/Hüseyin Murat Özkargı and 3. Süreyya Çakmak/Pelin Çelik occupy the top positions, while Barış Bilen Vural, the only motorcycle rider competing in the raid category, was among those to complete the third-day leg successfully.

Transanatolia Rally Raid will set off from the Konya Karaman start point on the morning of 23 August, running through the Bolkor and Toros stages.
