Üçlertoprağı Sole Candidate for TOSFED Presidency

Eren Üçlertoprağı, the current incumbent, is standing as the sole candidate at the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) 2021 Ordinary Elective General Assembly, which will take place in Ankara on Wednesday 27 October.

Üçlertoprağı, who made his official candidacy application with the nomination declarations of 153 delegates, said that, aware that his responsibilities will grow further if he is re-elected, the team is ready to serve with strong motivation. "I offer my thanks to our Club Presidents and Delegates for their appreciation and strong support, and I hope our general assembly will be a beneficial one for our sport and our community," said Eren Üçlertoprağı, adding that, as well as continuing the projects developed together with the board, the main goal of the new term will be to focus on building facilities.
Üçlertoprağı noted that in the previous term the federation had successfully delivered very important international events at the highest level, twice hosting Formula 1 and twice the World Rally Championship, and that in recent times it had also represented the country successfully in the international arena with young competitors, with that success set to continue. Eren Üçlertoprağı said that in the 2021 season the federation had put numerous sponsorships into practice, led by the Shell Helix Turkish Rally Championship, the AVIS Turkish Circuit Racing Championship, the AVIS Turkish Hill Climb Championship, the Petlas Turkish Off-road Championship and the Bitci.com TOSFED Baja Cup, and that this was a first in the federation's history. He added that a three-year title sponsorship agreement had been signed with Bitci Teknoloji, valid from next season, and said that significant investment would be made in both events and the competitor development pathway in the new term.
Who Is Eren Üçlertoprağı?

Eren Üçlertoprağı completed his secondary education at the Austrian High School and graduated from the Faculty of Law at Bilgi University. During his university years, out of his interest in motorsport, he first took up rallying as an amateur and later as a professional. Having won events and achieved top results during his sporting career, Üçlertoprağı ended his professional competition career when he began his working life.

At the TOSFED Extraordinary General Assembly on 5 December 2015, Üçlertoprağı took up the post of TOSFED Vice President in the new administration headed by Serkan Yazıcı, and in 2017 he was also elected a deputy member of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) World Motor Sport Council. He was then elected president at the TOSFED Extraordinary General Assembly held on 28 February 2019, and continues to serve as a deputy member of the FIA World Motor Sport Council.
