Yazıcı Sole Candidate for TOSFED Presidency

The 4th Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Motorsport Federation will take place at 10.00 on Saturday 12 November 2016 at the Meyra Palace Hotel in Çankaya, Ankara. If a quorum is not reached, a second meeting will be held at the same venue and time on Sunday 13 November 2016, with no quorum required.

Serkan Yazıcı, who was elected president at the Extraordinary General Assembly held on 5 December 2015 and remains in the post, is standing as the sole candidate. During an 11-month term, the achievements include successful events such as the Marmaris Auto Sport Fest, which brought together rally, off-road and classic disciplines with 150 vehicles and 300 competitors, and the 2015 Champions Awards Ceremony. Budget support was also provided to clubs organising national events, investment was made in the Körfez Race Circuit, which was completely renovated, the TOSFED head office was relocated and staff were recruited, free gravel tyre incentive awards were given to crews competing in the Yusuf Aramacı Rally Cup, and a total of 336 racing tyres were awarded as incentives to competitors finishing in the top three of the overall and class standings in 10 national disciplines during the 2016 season. For the new term, Yazıcı has set further goals, including international events, support for national team competitors and social responsibility projects.

The 4th TOSFED Ordinary General Assembly will be attended by a delegation of 200 people, made up of delegates from 34 Sports Clubs – Antalya Motorsports Club (AMK), Ankara Off-road Club (ANDOFF), Ankara Motorsport Club (ANOK), Ardeşen Off-road Club (ARDOFF), Aydın Motorsport Club (AYOSK), Bursa Alternative Sports Club (BASK), Beykoz Off-road Club (BEYOFF), Bolu Outdoor Sports Off-road Club (BOLOFF), Bursa Motorsport Club (BOSSEK), Şile Outdoor Sports Club (DOSD), Düzce Motorsport and Off-road Association (DOSOD), Drift Motorsport Club (DRİFTİST), Aegean Motorsport Club (EOSK), Eskişehir Automobile and Motorsports Club (ESOK), Fatsa Off-road Club (FATOFF), Hitit Automobile and Motorsports Club (HİTOK), Istanbul Karting and Automobile Club (İKOK), Istanbul Off-road Club (İSOFF), Istanbul Motorsport Club (İSOK), Izmir Ülkü Motorsport Club (ÜLKÜ), Karabük Off-road Club (KARDOFF), Konya Drag Racing Club (KDSK), Classic Automobile Club (KOK), Kemer Motorsports Club (KMK), Kocaeli Karting Club (KO_KART), Kocaeli Motorsport Club (KOSDER), Sapanca Off-road Association (SOFFDER), Sinop Off-road Club (SİNOFF), Rize Off-road Club (RİZOFF) and Vezirköprü Off-road Club (VEZİROFF) – as well as 20 representatives of the General Directorate of Sports, former TOSFED presidents, TSYD representatives, inactive national team competitors, and directors and team managers.
