Tolon's Memory to Live On Throughout 2025 Season

Following a tragic accident, Ömer Tolon, one of the leading drivers and administrators of the motorsport community, passed away, and by decision of the TOSFED Board of Directors the 2025 racing season will be named in his honour.

TOSFED President Eren Üçlertoprağı said of the decision: "Ömer Tolon was an example to everyone during his racing career, and we were proud to serve alongside him in the running of the Federation. The value he brought to every level of our sport will never be forgotten. As the board, we have decided to name this season after him and to keep the memory of our dear Ömer Tolon alive in our community throughout the year. Once again, we remember him with love, respect, longing and in our prayers."

Ömer Tolon, who claimed numerous victories during his motorsport career, was a respected and much-loved figure in both the business world and the motorsport community, known for his sportsmanship, gentlemanly manner and willingness to help others.
Tolon began his career on the circuits in 1995 with the Lada Cup and, after winning the 1996 Escort Cup title, moved into rallying in 1997 with the Opel Motorsport team, contesting the Turkish Rally Championship with the same team in 1998. In 1999 the driver competed in the French Citroen Cup alongside his brother Tarkan Tolon, before racing as a Ford Motorsport Türkiye driver in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
Competing for Fiat Abarth Motorsport in 2004 and Hyundai Assan Motorsports in 2005, Tolon had become the best Turkish driver in 2002 by winning the Champion of Champions event.
