Timur on the Podium in Italy

Round two of the Trofeo Abarth Challenge was held at Autodromo Internazionale Imola, one of the most famous circuits in Italy, in the city of Bologna. In the second round of the season, contested in Fiat 500s and featuring fiercely close battles, FIAT Motorsports Turkey drivers Yiğit Timur, Fatih Kara and Kuzey Eroldu represented our country.

National driver Yiğit Timur, a source of pride for the country with his results in international races, added another success to his record by finishing on the podium in round two of the Trofeo Abarth Challenge. In the race, Kuzey Eroldu, a young driver from a karting background, finished 10th, while Fatih Kara failed to reach the chequered flag because of a mechanical failure.
After the race, Yiğit Timur said: "Although we were unable to take part in the practice sessions and missed the chance to learn the circuit, after a good qualifying session and start we reached the finish in third place in Saturday's race, which had 20 cars on the grid, and scored our first podium of the season. As Fiat Motorsports Turkey, we are delighted to represent our flag successfully on the international stage. Thank you very much to everyone for their support."

Round three of the Trofeo Abarth Challenge will take place on 12 June at the Misano circuit.
