Safranbolu Gears Up for Off-Road Action

The second round of the season in trial, a discipline in which teams of two vehicles and four competitors take on demanding natural terrain, is being held on 14-15 July in the Safranbolu district of Karabük province, organised by the Karabük Off-road Club, known by its short name KARDOFF.
The crews will work hard, helping one another, to complete stages featuring rock climbs and descents and water crossings, made up of 10 separate gates, in the shortest time and without errors. The first stage, 750 metres long, will be run between 11:00 and 17:00 on Saturday 14 July, with the second stage run over the same hours on Sunday 15 July. The event will conclude with the prize-giving ceremony at 18:30.
In a statement ahead of the event, KARDOFF President Ahmet Demir thanked the Karabük Governorship, the Safranbolu District Governorship, the Provincial and District Directorates of Youth and Sports, the Karabük Gendarmerie Command, the Karabük Police Department, the Karabük and Safranbolu Municipalities, the Karabük and Safranbolu Forestry Departments, the Provincial Special Administration, the Provincial Health Directorate and the Red Crescent for their support, saying: "We wish success to the competitors who will be taking part from various parts of Turkey. The teams' fight for points will heighten the rivalry, and the close competition will give spectators some enjoyable moments. As a club, we have prepared a special course that is a real treat for spectators. Everyone is welcome at this adrenaline-filled event, where the visuals take centre stage. We would be delighted to see all off-road enthusiasts among us."
