Aegean Rally Awaits Start With 62 Crews

Round three of the 2018 Turkish Rally Championship, the NG Kütahya Seramik 28th Aegean Rally, is being organised in Izmir by the Ege Otomobil Sporları Kulübü from 13-15 July 2018, with 62 cars and 124 competitors entered.
The rally begins on the evening of Friday 13 July at 19:30 with a ceremonial start in front of Çeşme Municipality. On the opening day, the 1.94km NG Kütahya Seramik Spectator Special Stage will be run around Çeşme Marina at 20:30. The stage will be run in reverse start order, with Volkicar displays and drone shows by DJI İzmir Group pilots adding extra colour.
The second day of the rally starts from Fuar İzmir at 13:00 on Saturday 14 July. After the Efemçukuru and Gödence stages, the crews will reach the service park from 16:00 to end the day.
On the morning of Sunday 15 July, the third and final leg begins at 08:30. The Kavakdere stage, run in memory of Ahmet Burkay, the Seferihisar stage, in memory of Selim Teoman, and the Gödence stage, in memory of İbrahim Talda, will each be run twice. The rally is also the opening round of the FIAT Egea Youth Cup, where the top three crews from the 2017 season of the TOSFED Is Looking for a Star project, Onat Telkenar-Efe Eryalaz, Emre Şentürk-Mesut Şafak Doğan and Mert Kaya-Tunahan Aktaş, will face their first big test in Fiat Egea 1.4 T-Jet cars.
Ahead of the NG Kütahya Seramik 28th Aegean Rally, Ford Motorsport Turkey driver Yağız Avcı leads the championship standings with 33.5 points, with team-mate Deniz Fahri second on 30 points and BC Vision Motorsport driver Burak Çukurova third on 29.2 points. ..
