Circuit Racing Finale Held at Körfez

The fifth and final races of the AVIS 2023 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship season were organised by Kocaeli Otomobil Spor Kulübü (KOSK) at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track on 2-3 December. Held with ICRYPEX as title sponsor and with the support of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the weekend concluded with two races each in the Maxi and Super classes.
In the Super class, Metin Çalışkan of Ülkü Motorsport won the first race and finished second in the second race in his Opel Corsa OPC, while Azizhan Kaya of Egemot H2K Racing Team took second in the first race and won the second. Ömer Şamlı of Egemot H2K Racing Team completed the podium in the first race, and in the second race it was team-mate Berkay Akça who took the final podium place.
In the Maxi class, Seda Kaçan of Bitci Racing Team AMS won the first race and took second place on the podium in the second race on Sunday. Her team-mate Barkın Pınar finished third in the first race and was the first driver to take the chequered flag on Sunday. Gökhan Kellecioğlu, also from the same team, finished second in the first race but did not reach the finish in the second. Bitci Racing Team AMS took the teams' victory.
Following these races, Metin Çalışkan of Ülkü Motorsport in the Super class with an Opel Corsa OPC, and Barkın Pınar of Bitci Racing Team AMS in the Maxi class with an Audi RS3 LMS, have mathematically secured their championship titles. The AVIS 2023 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship standings will become official once they are announced by the TOSFED Sporting Commission.
