Circuit Racing Season Opens at Körfez

The opening round of the 2024 AVIS Turkish Circuit Racing Championship, organised by Kocaeli Automobile Sports Club at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track on 27-28 July, produced intense battles.In the first circuit meeting of the 2024 Oyman Atabay Season, with ICRYPEX as title sponsor, Berkay Akça of Egemot H2K Racing Team won the first Super class race, ahead of Metin Çalışkan of Ülkü Motorsport in second and team-mate Aydın Uluç in third. In the second race on Sunday, Metin Çalışkan took the win, with Berkay Akça second and Aydın Uluç third.İbrahim Okyay of Texaco Team AMS won both Maxi class races, while team-mate Zekai Özen completed the weekend with a double second place. Ömer Şamlı of Egemot H2K Racing Team was third in the first Maxi race, and in the second race Gökhan Kellecioğlu of Texaco Team AMS completed the podium in third. Texaco Team AMS took the teams' title for the event.
