Berkay Besler Takes Four Class Wins at Nürburgring

The Toksport WRT team fielded five Turkish drivers in the third round of the Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland, held at Germany's Nürburgring on 21-22 July. Over a weekend featuring four separate races – two sprint and two endurance – 19-year-old young Turkish driver Berkay Besler, competing in a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup, took class wins and podium finishes in both sprint races and both endurance races…
In the first Porsche Super Sports Cup Sprint race, Berkay Besler finished second overall among 45 cars and won the 5F group, while Ümit Ülkü finished 11th overall and 10th in the group, and Bilal Saygılı took 31st overall and 19th in the group. Çağlayan Çelik did not finish the race.

In the second sprint race, Berkay Besler took both the overall and class win, the best result of his career. Ümit Ülkü finished sixth in the group, while Yıldıray Demircioğlu completed the race 17th overall and fourth in the 5E group. Bilal Saygılı did not finish this race.
In the first Porsche Sports Cup endurance race of the weekend, Berkay Besler took the chequered flag in fourth place and once again won his group. Ümit Ülkü finished sixth overall and second in the group, while the Çağlayan Çelik-Yıldıray Demircioğlu crew finished 10th overall and third in the group. Bilal Saygılı did not finish the race.
In the weekend's final race, the second endurance event, young Turkish driver Berkay Besler finished second and won the 5F group once again. Ümit Ülkü crossed the line fifth overall and third in the group, and the Çağlayan Çelik-Yıldıray Demircioğlu crew finished 11th overall and third in the group. Bilal Saygılı completed the race 14th overall and ninth in the group.
The Porsche Super Sports Cup continues with round four at Germany's Oschersleben circuit on 11-12 August.
