KARDOFF Gearing Up for Season Opener

Safranbolu, one of the historic and tourist destinations of the Black Sea region, which has natural courses ideally suited to off-road racing thanks to its geography, is preparing to host the off-road season opener this year. Round 1 of the 2016 Turkish Off-road Championship will be organised by Karabük Offroad Club in the Safranbolu district of Karabük on 19-20 March 2016.
On Saturday 19 March 2016, the vehicles that take the start will tackle a total of 15 gates made up of forest tracks and natural obstacles behind Karabük University, over a stage 11 km long. After running this stage three times, covering 55 km of the course, the crews will complete the day.
On Sunday 20 March 2016, a 3 km stage, created especially for spectators and made up mostly of natural obstacles, will be run over 3 laps, with 2 vehicles starting at the same time. The crews will run this stage, which consists of a total of 10 gates, 4 times, covering a total of 36 km of stage distance. The dual start format was first used by KARDOFF last year and was very well received...
HOW TO GET THERE?
After entering Karabük from the Istanbul direction, head towards Kastamonu in the KBÜ university area and pass the gendarmerie, then turn right beside the Kalemler dormitory and follow the signs; the event site can be reached after 2 km.
