Tough Finale at Istanbul Park
Rounds four and five of the AVIS 2024 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship were held at Istanbul Park on 23-24 November by the Turkish Motorsport Federation (TOSFED), with the support of Spor Toto, ICRYPEX, AVIS, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Tuzla Municipality and Salados.
Run in difficult conditions, with snow on Saturday and rain on Sunday, the races produced plenty of close battles. In Super Group, Murat Gürakan and Berkay Akça each finished the weekend with two wins, while in Maxi Group Zekai Özen took two wins, with Turgut Konukoğlu and Kemal Gürsoy each taking one.
Texaco Team AMS won the teams' classification in both races, and by the end of the event Berkay Akça of Egemot H2K Racing Team in Super Group and Zekai Özen of Texaco Team AMS in Maxi Group had mathematically secured their championship titles.
The AVIS 2024 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship standings will become official once they are announced by the TOSFED Sporting Commission.
