Istanbul Park Race Cancelled
The third round of the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship and the accompanying special cup races, which were due to be organised by Istanbul Park Spor Kulübü (İPSK) at the Istanbul Park circuit on 16-17 September 2017, have been cancelled under Article 58-D of the 2017 General Regulations, as the organising club failed to meet the minimum deadlines for its application.
The championship round and the special cup races will instead be organised by TOSFED at the Körfez Circuit, also on 16-17 September 2017. The change was announced on the website of the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation in Bulletin No. 2017/07, dated 05.09.2017.
In addition, Announcement No. 2017/10, also published on the official TOSFED website, stated: "To ensure that our competitors in the Intercity Clio Cup and Intercity Megane Cup do not suffer any disadvantage, entry fees and insurance costs will be paid by TOSFED and, if requested, the transport of the race cars will also be covered by TOSFED."
Furthermore, the Warmhaus Summer Cup round 4 and the BOM Akademi Cup round 3, which Ülkü Motorsporları Kulübü (ÜMK) had planned to organise on 10 September 2017, have likewise been cancelled because the organising club did not meet the minimum application deadlines.
