Istanbul Park Reopens Its Gates

The gates of Istanbul Park, the country's only international racing circuit, are set to reopen to Turkish competitors, racing teams and spectators with rounds two and three of the AVIS Turkish Circuit Racing Championship on 7-8 September. At the events, the first after a long break, Formula 3 and karting demonstrations will run alongside classic cars on track. Rally tests will also take place on the gravel stage located at Istanbul Park on Saturday and Sunday.

Ahead of this new era at Istanbul Park, Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) President Eren Üçlertoprağı said: "As a federation, our only wish for Istanbul Park was for our competitors to be able to use the country's only international racing circuit, so that they can develop and represent Turkey better abroad. We are excited to begin a new era with events on 7-8 September that, as we promised, will be open to the public."

At the first national race meeting at Istanbul Park in nine years, the action will run between 14:00 and 18:00 on both days, with qualifying followed by racing.
