İSOFF Challenge 2015 Takes Breath Away

The İSOFF Challenge 2015, organised by İstanbul Offroad Kulübü on Sunday 12 April, was warmly received in its new format.

Starting with a field of 28 drivers, the excitement grew with every lap. After 10 laps in the first elimination round, 16 vehicles progressed to the second round, and after 8 laps in that round, 8 vehicles remained for the quarter-final. Over the 4-lap quarter-final, semi-final and final races, the winners of the day were the crew of Ali Doğaner-Baybars Öztürk.

After the final, which saw the fiercest battle of the day, Ali Doğaner-Baybars Öztürk won the first round of the İSOFF Challenge 2015. Ali Gökhan Yazıcı-Alpaslan Yüksel finished second, while Fatih Eren-Erol Eren took third place.

The class wins were shared as follows: Erol Eren - Fatih Eren in Class 1, Ali Doğaner-Baybars Öztürk in Class 2, Ali Gökhan Yazıcı-Alpaslan Yüksel in Class 3 and Müfit Çırpanlı-Günay Yıldırım in Class 4.

The next round of the İSOFF Challenge will be held on 13 September 2015, again on the Kemerburgaz course.
