Türkkan Crowned First Digital Rally Champion

Young competitor Ali Türkkan took victory in the 2020 Turkish Digital Rally Championship, organised by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation with the support of Red Bull, one of the brands investing most heavily in motorsport worldwide, along with Spor Toto and Shell Helix.
Played on the WRC8 game, with qualifying running simultaneously on both PC and PlayStation platforms, the 14 best drivers determined by the qualifying rounds battled it out over a seven-round championship.
The qualifying rounds saw the participation of many current and former active motorsport competitors, and at their conclusion Ali Türkkan, Eralp Kumartaşlıoğlu, Yağız Avcı, Reha Aybey, Muzaffer Tayyip Odabaş, Ali Doğan and Uzay Kaştaş, Yağız Çalhan, Teoman Kaya, Kemal Tarık Sabuncu, Mehmet Gök, Mert Tegul, Burak Tegul and Can Akbulut earned the right to compete in the championship.
The championship began with Rallye Monte-Carlo and, after the rallies in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Catalunya and Corsica, ended with Rally Turkey. Ali Türkkan, who took six wins and one second place, became the 2020 TOSFED Digital Rally Champion with a total of 135.8 points. Yağız Çalhan finished second on 99.8 points, while Muzaffer Tayip Odabaş took third place with 79.4 points.
