Spectacular Opening Ceremony at FIA MSG
The 2024 FIA Motorsport Games, in which 646 athletes from 82 countries will compete across 26 different disciplines, got under way with a spectacular opening ceremony at the City of Arts & Sciences science museum in Valencia.
The 15-strong Turkish national team will be chasing medals in 16 different disciplines. Representing Team Türkiye will be Ayhancan Güven in GT Sprint, the crew of Ali Türkkan and Oytun Albayrak in Rally2, the crew of Kerem Kazaz and Corentin Silvestre in Rally4, Zekai Özen in Touring Car, Berfu Tutumlu in drifting, Batı Yıldırım in Karting Sprint Senior, İskender Zülfikari in Karting Sprint Junior, Can Özler in Karting Sprint Mini, Can Alakoç in Cross Car Senior, Ulaş Özyıldırım in esports F4, Kaan Bekiroğlu in esports GT, and Akın Can Kiper and Eda Bacaksız in Auto Slalom.
On Sunday 27 October, Zekai Özen's Touring Car race will be shown live on free-to-air TV on TRT Spor Yıldız at 11:45, Ayhancan Güven's GT Sprint race at 17:45, and the medal stage of the Rally discipline, featuring Ali Türkkan and Oytun Albayrak and Kerem Kazaz and Corentin Silvestre, on Tabii Spor 6 at 19:05.
