Ege Asal Challenge Finds Its Stars

Launched in 2013 to bring new talent into motorsport, the Ege Asal Challenge took the form of an autocross-style slalom event this year. At the AYOSK Slalom held at the Yenipazar Motorsport Area, Özlem Sapansüren and Özgür Kanlı set the best times among the competitors taking out a competition licence for the first time, and were crowned 2025 Ege Challenge winners. With the support of Ege Asal Motorspor, they will step onto the track on Sunday 1 June at Aydın Autocross, the opening round of the Aegean Autocross Cup.

Organised by the Aydın Automobile Sports Club (AYOSK) in cooperation with the Yenipazar District Directorate of Youth and Sports, the event was run in three separate categories. In Category 1 of the AYOSK Slalom, Özgür Kanlı took victory with a total time of 01:02.754. Hilal Olgun finished second and Emre Akşit took third on the podium. In Category 2, Burak Aydın won with a total time of 01:05.363, with Özlem Sapansüren second and Zeliha Çekilmez third.
In the Women's Category, after fierce competition throughout the day, Hilal Olgun won, Özlem Sapansüren was second and Sena Kelleci Pak third. The trophies were presented to the top finishers by Yenipazar District Governor Murat Karataş, District Director of Youth and Sports Dursun Durmaz and representatives of official institutions.

TOSFED official and driver Ömer Tolon, who passed away recently, was also remembered at the event, with black ribbons carried on all the cars.
