Doping Control via the e-Nabız System

Through the e-Nabız system, launched in 2015 by the Ministry of Health's General Directorate of Health Information Systems, information and communication technologies are used to enable citizens to access their personal health data and take part in their own treatment, with the aim of improving the quality of care.
Since 1 January 2015, the e-Nabız system has allowed citizens to access information on the health facilities they have visited, their prescriptions, medication details, test results, report information, medical images and many other items of personal health data. Detailed information about the e-Nabız system and its login page can be found at www.enabiz.gov.tr.
In addition, as part of the e-Nabız project's rational drug use programme, the application is planned to give the country's athletes information on the doping effects of substances taken as medicines or as non-medicinal supplementary products. The content of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) list of prohibited substances will be updated with data from internationally recognised sources, and users will be shown any possible doping link when medicines, foods or other substances are taken together.
