Texxoff Takes Victory in Düzce

Round 2 of the 2015 Turkish Trial Championship was held on 18-19 April on a specially prepared course in the village of Selamlar, in the Gümüşova district of Düzce, organised by the Düzce Motorsports and Off-road Club (DOSOD).

Over two days of tension-filled action, 16 vehicles and 32 competitors, split into eight teams, battled to complete the course in the shortest possible time. With teamwork and the off-road spirit very much to the fore, the Texxoff team, made up of Emirhan Kutlu-Ali Çapan and Uğur Demirci-Samet Aygül, took victory in the second round of the season. The event drew great interest from spectators, with Trayback Team, comprising the crews of Cihangir Gürcan-Erhan Arslan and Mehmet Demir-Fatih Arslan, finishing second. Two teams finished level on points after two days and shared third place: Yeha, made up of Ersin Yıldız-Mehmet Özdemir and Hamza Yıldız-Yasin Yıldız, and Team Mobil 1, made up of Ertan Uçar-Mehmet Berat Atagün and Hakan Çarker-Ayhan Ademoğlu.

Düzce Governor Ali Fidan, who watched the event, experienced the thrill of competition first-hand by riding in the passenger seat of the winning Texxoff team's vehicle at the end of the event. Governor Fidan then presented the awards to the top finishers at the prize-giving ceremony held on the course.

The 2015 Turkish Trial Championship continues with Round 3, to be organised by BASK in Bursa on 30-31 May.
