Akyüz and Altun Win in Denizli
Round three of the 2022 TOSFED Baja Cup, Baja Denizli, was organised by the Denizli Doğa 4×4 Offroad and Motorsports Club (DENDOFF) with the support of Merkezefendi Municipality, and took place in the Çamlaraltı area on 26-27 November.
On the first day of the event, the crews ran the 53.79-kilometre Edip Yaşar Kurtoğlu stage twice, before tackling the 95.28-kilometre Kenan Çarpışantürk stage on Sunday. In the SSV category, İsrafil Akyüz-Timur Sancak won the demanding event in a Can-Am Maverick X3, with Abdullah Turgut-Arda Şenay second and Mert Öztiryaki-Polat Emsen third. In the car category, Murat Kamil Altun-Tuvana Sayar took the overall win and Class 2 victory in a Suzuki Grand Vitara, while Bener Baş-Selçuk Akkafa finished second overall and won Class 3 in a Toyota Hilux, and Tarık Gökbay-Osman Metin took third overall and the Class 4 win in a Land Rover Defender.
The 2022 TOSFED Baja Cup will conclude with round four in Düzce on 17-18 December.
