Bacıoğlu Pair Win Cumhuriyet Rally
The 2021 Turkish Classic Car Championship came to a close with the Mercedes-Benz Cumhuriyet Rally, held in Istanbul from 29-31 October. 
Organised by the Classic Car Club with Mercedes-Benz as title sponsor, the rally started at 11:30 on Friday 29 October 2021 from the Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, and Selim Bacıoğlu-Handan Bacıoğlu finished the event in first place. 
Harun Ümit Yaşar-Dilek Yaşar finished second, while the Efe Kethüda-Elifsu Alaş crew took third.
The rally ran along Istanbul's Black Sea coast on the first day and continued with stages in the Silivri area on the second. The prize-giving ceremony was held together with the Republic Ball on the evening of Sunday 31 October at Fişekhane.
Turkish Motorsport Federation (TOSFED) President Eren Üçlertoprağı and Vice President Nisa Ersoy, along with International Historic Vehicle Federation (FIVA) President Tiddo Bresters, attended the ceremony, where the trophies were presented to the top-placed drivers.
