BOM and GEM Drivers Take to the Podium

In the second race of the Italy 3H Endurance Champions Cup, held at the Brno circuit in the Czech Republic on 10-11 June, six of our drivers, racing as two separate teams, finished on the podium. The race, run at the Brno circuit in the Czech Republic on Sunday 11 June, was preceded by test and qualifying sessions on Saturday. Rain and changeable weather conditions on Saturday in particular made life difficult for all the teams. Brno, with its hard braking zones and constantly changing direction through its corners, is extremely punishing on tyres, and with suspension set-ups, the overheating and wear of the front tyres proved the biggest challenge throughout the race. In the second round of the series, which it has followed for three seasons, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM) took second place overall with Aytaç Biter, Kaan Gürgenç and İbrahim Okyay at the wheel, while Gedik Ebam Motorsport (GEM), made up of Ahmet Mutlubaş, Ayhan Germirli and Yağız Gedik and racing a BMW Z4 GT3, claimed third place. The next round of the season will be a night race at the Misano circuit in Italy on 15 July.
