BOM Drivers Return from Mugello as Class Leaders

Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport drivers finished second in their class and third overall in the 3H Endurance Champions Cup race at Mugello in Italy, and have moved into the lead of their class standings.
In the fourth round of the five-round 3H Endurance Champions Cup, the Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport team secured a significant advantage with one round remaining. As well as retaining the class lead at Mugello, they extended the points gap to their rivals before heading home.
Aytaç Biter, Levent Kocabıyık and Fatih Ayhan earned a place on the grid for the Mugello race in ninth overall and third in their class after qualifying. The fact that the top five cars in their class were separated by very small margins gave an early indication of how closely fought the race would be.
The team moved into the class lead on lap 8 at Mugello and led for much of the race, but the battle for victory went bumper to bumper all the way to the final corner. They crossed the line third overall and second in their class, retaining the lead they took in Croatia and extending their points advantage.
