Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport finished on the third step of the podium in round three of the Italy Endurance Champions Cup, held at Italy's Misano circuit on 12-13 June. The team, which maintains its lead in the series, will start this weekend at Slovakiaring for the ETCC.

After a fast start to the 2015 motorsport season with two wins in the 3H Italy Endurance Champions Cup and a second place in the opening ETCC race, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport lined up at Misano on 12-13 June for the third round of the three-hour Italy Endurance Champions. With İbrahim Okyay, Levent Kocabıyık and Fatih Ayhan at the wheel, the race began at 22:30 Turkish time and finished at 01:30 after midnight, with the drivers battling both the night-time conditions and their rivals. Having returned home with the winner's trophy from the first two races of the championship, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport had an unlucky start when an axle broke on lap three. The minutes lost replacing it put the team out of the fight for victory, but over the remaining 120 minutes of the race, with Levent Kocabıyık, İbrahim Okyay and Fatih Ayhan driving in turn, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport managed to finish third in its class. With two wins and one third place from the three rounds of the championship, the team continues to lead its class with 58 points.

The team's next race will be the ETCC (European Touring Car Cup), where it will start with two cars driven by İbrahim Okyay and Aytaç Biter. One week after the race at Slovakiaring on 20-21 June, the team will be in France for round three of the ETCC. With the race at France's Paul Ricard circuit on 27-28 June, Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport will have started its fifth race of June and its ninth of the season.
