Ayhancan Güven, the 21-year-old national driver representing Turkey in the Porsche Supercup with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye, Spor Toto, the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) and Pierre Martinet, finished second in both of the series' final two races in Mexico, ending the 2019 season second in the overall championship standings and as Rookie champion. Competing in the championship that runs as a support series ahead of FIA Formula One World Championship races, the Turkish driver became the first driver in the series' 27-year history to finish second in a debut season, and with these achievements once again wrote their name into the history of Turkish motorsport.
