Turkish driver Ayhancan Güven, 21, left Round 5 of the Porsche Carrera Cup France at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, held as two races on 28-29 September, with one win and one third place. Güven won Race 9 of the series on Saturday 28 September, beating 29 rivals, and once again had the Turkish national anthem played from the top step of the podium. In Sunday's Race 10, which he started from pole position, Güven lost his position after a strategy error over tyre choice and had to settle for third. After this round, Güven still leads the Porsche Carrera Cup France standings, the series he won as champion last year, by five points.
