Extreme Off-Road Action in the Rain
The second round of the Extreme Cup, organised in memory of Edip Yaşar Kurtoğlu, the Trakya Off-road Club president and TOSFED Trakya provincial representative who passed away last year, took place in Mustafakemalpaşa, Bursa, on 15-16 October 2022.
The event, run by the Bursa Alternative Sports Club (BASK) with the support of Mustafakemalpaşa Municipality at the Muradiyesarnıç site, drew a big crowd of spectators despite the wet weather. In 'extreme', the new off-road discipline introduced this season, 14 vehicles and 28 competitors tackled a series of tough obstacles within the set rules.
In TR1, the class for vehicles with an unmodified conventional chassis, the Şencan Özkurt-Can Özkurt crew took the win, with Orkun Eke-Levent Ekren second and Adnan Ofluoğlu-Zafer Taştekin third on the podium. In TR2, the class for vehicles with a purpose-built chassis, the Ali Fuat Bilgin-Ali Fuat Demirci crew finished the demanding event in first place, ahead of Oğuz Kaan Öztürk-Şenol Coşkun in second and Cihat Çelikten-Adem Yılmaz in third.
