Kutlu and Ofluoğlu Take the Honours in X-Trial

Competitors battled it out on a tough course in round two of the Marmara X-Trial Cup, held in Sapanca, Sakarya. Organised by the Sapanca Nature Conservation Off-road and Tourism Association and sponsored by Sapanca Municipality, the event took place on the Soğucak Plateau, at an altitude of 1,100 metres. Over two days the drivers fought hard on a demanding course, while the co-drivers raced against the clock to help their vehicles clear the obstacles. The colourful contest was followed with great excitement by off-road enthusiasts, and the 4x4 vehicles drew plenty of attention from spectators.
In the event, which featured 13 vehicles and 26 competitors, Emirhan Kutlu-Uğur Demirci won the Prototype class, ahead of Ali Fuat Bilgin-Ali Fuat Demirdi in second and Oğuz Kaan Öztürk-Atilla Çakır in third. In the Extreme class, Adnan Ofluoğlu-Şenol Coşkun took the win, with Umut Uyar-Gökhan Yalçın second and Musa Ceylan-Muharrem Ekebil third.
The trophies were presented to the podium finishers by Sapanca Mayor Aydın Yılmazer and Turkish Motorsport Federation observer Nuri Peri. Speaking after the event, Sapanca Mayor Yılmazer said: "We created the course in rugged terrain and a natural setting, without harming nature, for competitors who came from every corner of Türkiye. We completed the event without any accidents. It makes us happy to see thousands of people come to the Soğucak Plateau to watch the racing. I thank all the competitors who took part."
