Countdown Begins in Vezirköprü

Round 3 of the 2018 Turkish Off-road Championship will be held in Samsun this weekend, organised by Vezirköprü Offroad Kulübü with Peli Parke as title sponsor. A press conference was held at Çamlık Parkı ahead of the event, which takes place in the Vezirköprü district on 30 June - 1 July.

Giving details of the technical side of the event, Veziroff club president Abbas Tasalı said that 28 crews and vehicles from different clubs, and 56 competitors in total, will take part, with a forest stage on the first day and a special spectator stage on the second. Vezirköprü Mayor İbrahim Sadık Edis said the event grows bigger every year and that the municipality has provided the necessary support to host the visitors coming to the district.

The press conference was attended by Vezirköprü Gendarmerie Commander First Lieutenant Selçuk Yılmaz, TOSFED Sporting Commission member Metin Yılmaz, Vezirköprü Forestry Department deputy manager Levent Morkan, Vezirköprü Youth Services and Sports District Director Mehmet Uyar, sponsor representatives and members of Veziroff Kulübü.

The second day of the event, on Sunday 1 July, will be broadcast live on TRT SPOR from 10.50am.
